The paper describes both the method and preliminary outcomes of “Blind-assistive aUtonomous Droid Device: BUDD-e” research experience, funded by Polisocial Award 2021 Politecnico di Milano, designed to exploit a multidisciplinary approach bridge gap inclusive design, making spaces services accessible, functional, usable Blind Visually Impaired (BVI) people. purpose is develop accessible public places indoor environments where autonomous robot BUDD-e will act as guide for BVI User-centred design principles be applied support accessibility – outdoor places, primary feature in allowing access services.
